Hays Travel is seeking a highly organised, proactive and results-driven Technology Change Manager to join our dynamic Technology Team. This role will oversee continuous change against the backlogs within our key strategic projects (data, finance, infrastructure modernisation), ensuring alignment with broader business goals and milestones and clear communication into stakeholders. The successful candidate will also manage a team of Business Analysts and co-ordinate business-as-usual (BAU) change activity. With a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering value, this position will play a key role in supporting the future success and scalability of technology. The Technology Change Manager will report directly into the Head of Projects within Technology.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery leadership and change management: Lead and manage the delivery of quality change – working with the BAU or project teams to ensure backlogs and committed change is on track, removing any blockers or obstacles. Taking a holistic view of change across key projects and BAU to establish trends, dependencies or challenges.

  • Reporting and communication: Deliver effective reporting across technology change initiatives, ensuring accurate, timely updates are provided to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Timeline and budget management: Develop and manage plans where required, timelines, and budgets. Track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

  • Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Communicate delivery status, progress, and issues regularly of BAU, and larger change.

  • Resource management: Coordinate and allocate project resources effectively within Business Analysis and BAU change.

  • Risk management: Identify and assess risks to project and BAU deliverables. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Ensure the BAU or project team has the necessary resources, tools, and support to achieve their goals.

  • Business analysis best practices: Drive and embed a best-practice and value-add approach within the business analysis team, ensuring their resource is allocated effectively against projects and BAU.

 

Experience:

  • Three plus years of proven experience within project management and people management in the technology space, with a demonstrable track record of overseeing and delivering against strategic programs.
  • Understanding of technology projects, such as data, migrations, software development.
  • Experience in delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Devops, MS Tools).
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate effectively with digital and technology disciplines, translating effectively back to business stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and motivate teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
  • Experience in the travel or tourism industry
