Location: National – Regular working days in Sunderland with overnight stays as required 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (flexibility required to meet business needs)

Reporting To: Head of Retail

 

Role Overview

As Brand Divisional Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to deliver exceptional performance across your division. This strategic leadership role focuses on driving sales, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a high-performance culture. You will work closely with the Head of Retail, Head of Brand, and other departments to achieve business goals, elevate customer experience, and support growth initiatives.

  Key Responsibilities

 Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet divisional sales and profitability targets.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue, streamline operations, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Promote innovation and creative problem-solving across teams.
  • Support business acquisitions and ensure smooth integration of new teams.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire, coach, and guide RSMs to exceed KPIs and deliver outstanding results.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, offering feedback and tailored development plans.
  • Build high-performing, customer-focused teams across the division.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and profitability.
  • Analyse divisional P&L accounts to identify trends and opportunities.

Customer Experience

  • Champion a culture of exceptional service, embedding SMILE values in all interactions.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement service enhancements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Represent the division in meetings and provide strategic updates.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment, L&D, and the Apprentice Delivery Centre to attract and develop talent.
  • Work closely with the Head of Brand to align and deliver brand objectives.

Performance Reporting

  • Provide regular performance updates and data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing divisional achievements and strategic plans.

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in strategic leadership, driving innovation and operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a track record of delivering impactful strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and profitability targets in a customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in business acquisitions is advantageous.
