Job description
The banking team complete the group bank account reconciliation which includes GBP and foreign currencies. We receive daily request of banking queries to resolve from all divisions and liaise with other head office departments. We process customer refunds and funds transfers request which require a high attention to detail.
Training to be given to all banking roles to develop skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of all bank transactions made in and out of the company bank accounts in GBP and foreign currencies
- Refunding customer funds
- Investigating banking queries by liaising with branches and head office teams
- Locate, allocate and reconcile customer bank and card payments
- Customer receipt payments to in house system
- Taking branch calls and email queries to resolve in a timely manner
- Adhere to company service standards
- Reporting on banking activity to branches and internal departments
Competences / Qualifications
- Reconciliation experience is fundamental
- Excellent communication skills, high standard of literacy and email etiquette
- Excellent organisational skills
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Encouraging working attitude and desire to put forward ideas and implement positive changes to working practices as required
- Ability to act on own initiative and also as part of the team
- Prioritise workload
- Flexibility to suit needs of the business
