Job description

Role Summary

This role encompasses working within a team involved in the financial transactional processing and audit of customer holiday bookings. Reviewing the trade ledgers and ensuring bookings and accounting records are accurate and associated reporting has financial integrity while managing risk on travel bookings in line with group policies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify & correct incorrect holiday bookings & drive root cause improvements.
  • Manage the risk on travel bookings by following the business policies.
  • Comply with the department and business policies associated with the Travel ledger role.
  • Gain full understanding of the different trading divisions within the group and their working practices.
  • Support business divisions and provide feedback to improve quality and accuracy of the financial records

Competencies Required

  • Target focussed with the ability to meet challenging but realistic targets.
  • In depth knowledge of Hays Travel booking process.
  • Strong communication, collaboration & influencing skills.
  • Problem solving skills and solution focussed.
  • Ability to understand and identify risk
  • Excellent reporting and reconciliation skills
  • Capable of demonstrating excellent levels of attention to deal
  • Excellent communication skills, high standard of literacy and email etiquette
  • Able to work under pressure

Technical Skills Required

  • Ability to manipulate large volumes of data using VLOOKUP, logical formulas and pivot tables
  • Advanced knowledge of the selling systems and accounting systems.

General

  • To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria

  • Ensure all personal & business data is kept secure at all times & any data breaches are reported immediately.
