Job description
Role Summary
The role encompasses managing a team involved in the reconciliation and payment of customer holiday bookings to suppliers.
Key areas are assisting the supervisor with the day to day management of the team ensuring payments are made in line with Departmental KPI targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of a team of reconciliation clerks in the reconciliation and payment of supplier statements*,* ensuring procedures followed, clerks are trained and developed to ensure that departmental KPI’s are met
- Assist Supervisor with the completion of daily/weekly/monthly work plans for team and work with managers to ensure monthly work completed and all requirements delivered
- Reconciliation and payment of supplier statements for allocated suppliers
- Allocating payments made in finance systems
- Check statements and query sheets produced by team to ensure maximum payment value is achieved queries are fully investigated and agreed statement process is followed
- Ensure all departmental CRM documents are completed timely and accurately in line with agreed department processes, all ABTA certificate information is updated and stored as statements are completed
- Train new and existing staff as required ensuring staff knowledge of job role to standard. Highlighting team training issues to managers
- Data Security – You are responsible to ensure all personal and business data is kept secure at all times and any data breaches are reported immediately
Competencies Required
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills, high standard of literacy and email etiquette
- Sound numerical and problem solving skills
- Ability to understand and identify risk
- Capable of demonstrating a strong attention to detail
Technical Skills Required
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to manipulate large volumes of data using vlookup, logical formulas and pivot tables
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working in the travel industry
