Role Summary

The role is responsible for aiding the development of and implementing strategic plans aligned with company goals. Report to the Director of Strategy, you will be a self-starter with the ability to use one’s own initiative and possess first class communication skills to ensure collaboration to ensure deadlines are met.   

 

Key duties and responsibilities; 

  •           Support the planning, long-term development, and effective delivery of Hays Travel’s strategic ambitions. 
  •           Provide high-level analysis and critical questioning to identify strategic issues. 
  •           Collaborate with the extended Senior Leadership Team, co-ordinating cross-functional teams to harness Hays Travel’s scale, knowledge, and achieve                      collective impact and alignment to the overall business objectives. 
  •           Oversee the short-term Strategy Initiatives, ensuring effective evaluation, research, challenge and engagement. 
  •           Identify strategic issues and opportunities influencing business growth and profitability.  
  •           Liaison with project support specialist to ensure alignment.   

 

Skills Required

  •           Extensive business knowledge and a strong understanding of the travel industry (preferred). 
  •           Previous similar experience. 
  •           Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to drive strategic ideas efficiently and effectively. 
  •           Proficient using office software 
  •           Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. 
  •           Organisational Abilities: Strong organisational skills to align processes and resources effectively
