Job description
Role Summary
As a Management Accounts Assistant your primary responsibility will be to contribute to a culture of financial control through reconciling balance sheets and posting accurate and supported month end journals.
You will support the Management Accounts Manager in preparation of the monthly management accounts and business partner a number of stakeholders across the company.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the preparation of a number of group balance sheet reconciliations. You will ensure our accounts are fully supported with high quality subledgers and participate in a periodic review process.
- You will post a number of month end journals ensuring accuracy is maintained whilst working in a fast paced environment.
- Provide insight and analysis to the Financial Controller and Finance Director in monthly P&L review meetings.
- Be a key point of contact for information requests from both internal and external stakeholders. You will supply auditors with data requests and provide context to the retail teams on P&L performance.
- Reconcile a number of intercompany balances across the business, ensuring opposite entries are posted and chasing up with the relevant team where necessary.
- You will be required to document processes and controls relating to management accounts.
Skills
- At least AAT level 3, CIMA part qualified desirable.
- Strong communication & collaboration skills.
