IT Technician

An exciting opportunity to join our Technical department based in Leechmere, Sunderland, working in our hands-on IT Technical department supporting over 1000 sites nationwide. The role involves supporting a wide aspect of ICT related issues, primarily hands on however some remote support required. 

** Proof of knowledge or a keen aptitude for learning & willingness to develop self with a hardworking ethic is more desirable then actual experience as plenty of on the job learning & support will be offered ** 

We are responsible for the management & maintenance of over 4000 computers nationwide, and networks, across over 400 retail branches, a large head office & a large homeworking division. 

Whilst mainly hands-on hardware focused there is still a good level of software support required, working closely in tandem with the IT Help Desk and all areas of the business in general. 

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Troubleshooting and resolving technical IT queries, including but not limited to printing, firewall, hardware, software, VoIP, LAN/WAN, DNS and routing issues with a focus on hardware solutions 
• Supported rollout and management of new hardware, & supporting software teams with upgrades/patches & new projects 
• Microsoft Azure & 365 support & management 
• Hardware repair covering laptops, bases, printers & switches etc with some site visits required 
• Imaging & configuration of devices 
• Asset management 
• All areas of IT covered!
