Business Overview

 

-        Hays Travel has performed very well in the Covid recovery period, Total Transaction Value is now at circa £2.2bn, generating £50m+ Profit, and employing 3,700 colleagues. 

-        There is a period of significant investment for growth taking place, with several strategically important projects either underway, or in the process of being planned for.  The main focus areas are, but not limited to –

o   Investment in Technology as the Business maximises its e-commerce channel, data management opportunity and implements an ERP system.

o   Ongoing M&A opportunity.

o   Effective management and development of the Business Estate & Property assets. 

o   ESG strategy formulation and execution.

       There is a focus on Business succession planning, and Hays Travel are taking the opportunity to appoint a candidate into a newly created position that has the potential capability and ambition to succeed the CFO. 

 

Opportunity & Person Overview

 

     Background:

o   Could be Practice trained but not essential. Circa 5 years PQE and ideally with career experienced in an SME/OMB environment.  

o   Knowledge and experience gained in any / all the areas of strategic importance will be advantageous. 

o   Suitable candidates will be top of their peer group, with a track record of early career achievement.
