Graduate Data Analyst

What will be your key responsibilities?

*        Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources to support business reporting to meet business needs.

*        Design and maintain dashboards and reporting and its associated architecture using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

*        Collaborate with teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

*        Analyse datasets, identify trends and patterns to support decision-making.

*        Assist in automating data processes and improving reporting workflows.

*        Work as part of the Hays Travel Data team, and contribute to the delivery of data projects

What competencies we are looking for?

• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
• Attention to detail, accuracy and analytical mindset
• Problem solving skills
• Effective time management and prioritisation
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

What experience we are looking for?

• Computing Science, Mathematics or Data degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, charts).
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Basic understanding of SQL or other query languages is a plus.
• Awareness of data protection and confidentiality principles.

Desirables but not Essential

• Understanding of data warehouse / Lakehouse and Cloud based technologies
