Job description

The core responsibility of this role is to be accountable for the performance of Personal Travel Consultants (PTC) through supporting and developing the PTC Coaches, working directly with the Head of PTC and the Homeworking, Recruitment and Business Development Lead to embed the overall group strategy.

You will be responsible for building firm relationships with existing PTC and fully accountable for the day to day running of the PTC BD support team.

Providing business development support to all PTC members, through the effective management of PTC BD coaches.  This will include support around attracting new business, maintaining existing business, key performance indicators, online and offline marketing and social media.

Managing and developing the PTC coaches whilst working effectively with internal key areas of the business to achieve set targets.

 

What will be your key Responsibilities?

  • Build strong working relationships and carry out business analysis to identify areas of financial growth.
  • Conduct research and obtain feedback to support the overall strategy.
  • Improve and provide ongoing support for existing members of PTC.
  • Drive sales of in-house products and services.
  • Deliver against set targets and KPI’s.
  • Attend and play a key part at the PTC conferences when requested.
  • Manage the PTC BDs and support them daily with their own members and their objective to grow their businesses.
  • Support PTC and PTC BD resolve issues and help support with solutions to overcome barriers to sales.
  • Observe, coach and lead by example on business development sessions with PTC members and their allocated PTC BD coach, logging discussions and agreed activity that yourself or another member of the BD team will use to follow up on next 121, to maintain effective relationships.
  • Conduct regular documented 121 with the PTC BDs, develop and coach them to maximise revenues and results against the business KPIs.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, support and set professional development plans to assist the Homeworking, Recruitment and Business Development Lead and BD team to reach their full potential and meet targets.

Experience Required

  • Experience of working in a similar role or have 3+ years’ experience working in a Leadership role within the travel industry.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong management track record, showcasing your experience and having the ability to adapt to your audience.
