Job description

This office-based role encompasses assisting in the management of a team involved in collection of monies owed from customers on holiday bookings, alongside issuing customers travel documents.

Key area is the day-to-day management of the team ensuring payments are recovered and documents issued in line with Company KPI targets.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in management of a team of administrators to ensure that all travel bookings with monies owed from customers are identified and resolved promptly in line with departmental KPI’s 
  • Assist in management of a admin team and ensure all customers documentation is issued within the correct timescales, financial invoices reviewed and attached and financial exceptions are reviewed & kept up to date 
  • Daily liaison on work flow for department with team – highlighting potential problems to manager within a timely manner 
  • Manage and develop the team to improve skill levels and competencies 
  • Train new and existing staff as required ensuring staff knowledge of job role to standard. Highlighting team training issues to senior managers 
  • Schedule and complete performance reviews for your team in line with company policy. Provide necessary feedback to manager 
  • Assist Manager with the continual review of all internal processes and procedures, ensuring agreed departmental processes and procedure documents are maintained 
  • Flexible and adaptable to work in an ever challenging and changing departmen
  • Data Security - You are responsible to ensure all personal & business data is kept secure at all times & any data breaches are reported immediately 

Competencies Required

  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, high standard of literacy and email etiquette
  • Ability to understand and identify risk
  • Capable of demonstrating a strong attention to detail

Technical Skills Required

  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Experience of managing a team would be preferred or have a natural ability to lead 
  • Experience of working in the travel industry would be an advantage but not compulsory
