Job description

The Assistant Head of Cruise is responsible alongside the Head of Cruise for the performance of Cruise throughout the group ensuring we have a strong offering, taking ownership to drive growth of Cruise business across the Group including Vista Cruise Product.

 

Role Summary

This role is responsible for growth of overall cruise business and development of the product which include Vista Cruise. Manage all cruise commercial relationships and the cruise contact centre, driving sales, overrides and product from all suppliers. Ensure Vista cruise product is produced, priced, and marketed to the key distribution channels and to deliver optimum results.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Increase group market share of cruise.
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure that they see our sales channels as essential distribution, receiving commercial gain because of our unique relationship.
  • Secure funding as required to meet cruise budgets and forecasts, for marketing and events.
  • Responsible for monitoring competitors tactical pricing on an ongoing basis with a view to ensure that the products of ownership remain in line and are profitable.
  • Build a relationship with marketing, to ensure products are featured as part of the marketing plan for both online & offline and understand the value of activity versus spend.
  • Understand emerging trends, within the Cruise sector to keep ahead of the marketplace.
  • Produce analytical reports as required to provide department statistical data.
  • Prepare and lead on Cruise in key trading & marketing meetings.
  • Report on all cruise sales verses budget for all divisions, whilst maintaining relationships with Heads of Service, divisional and regional sales managers.
  • Managing a cruise sales team to maximise sales revenue to meet or exceed budget.
  • Deputise for Head of Cruise and attend operational board and overseas conferences when required.
