This is an exciting apprenticeship opportunity within our Property & Facilities team based in our Head Office in Sunderland.
This a varied role, which requires a mature attitude and involves handling all forms of building maintenance, assisting with refits and building and health & safety compliance across the entire Hays Travel retail estate. You will be liaising directly with branch staff, head office departments and various contractors. Many of the issues we deal with are urgent and time sensitive. Being performance driven, able to prioritise, work on multiple issues and able to adapt to changing situations is essential, but that being said it is a fun team to be part of and every day is different.
Key responsibilities
General administration tasks, working with and updating inhouse Smartsheet system
Ensure documents are filed correctly on Smartsheet or other inhouse data management system
Keeping branch maintenance records up to date, ensuring compliance dates are being met and recorded.
Actioning maintenance tickets and updating branches of progress
Email and Telephone communications with branches and contractors
Composing well structured, clear emails.
Liaising with Head Office departments to provide progress updates

Ability to work as part of a team in a busy department

Technical Skills Required
Basic knowledge of computer systems i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel with the ability to utilise its key functionalities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
File management skills
Web Navigation Skills
Qualifications/Experience required
- English & Maths grade 4 or above
General
- To be committed and dedicated to completing the customer service Apprenticeship programme within the 12 month timescale, attending all relevant training workshops
- To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria
- To conform with all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety
- To treat all employees, customer and suppliers with dignity and respect
